LiDAR corridor analysis · self-service demo

LiDAR for your power lines. Get the corridor answer.

Airborne LiDAR, cut to the line corridor and turned into what vegetation management needs: clearance zones, fall-in risk, trees with heights, wires and poles — on a map, in 3D and in a decision report. Try it on sample data from five countries.

How it works

try it on a sample — no account needed
01Pick a sample

Download one of our point clouds from five countries.

02Upload it back

The file goes up in small parts — the same way your own data would travel.

03Corridor cut, then processing

A flight usually covers far more than the line. Before processing, the point cloud is cut to a 20–40 m wide zone along the network, so only the corridor is processed. In this sample you watch the recorded run: file check, corridor cut, analysis.

04Results

Map layers, 3D point cloud and decision report — the same analysis you get for your own network.

Sample data

real airborne LiDAR over power lines — download it, then upload it back

Wire detection needs dense data: 8–10 points per m² or more works best.

Free analysis of your own data

limited places — the steps, in order
A · Sample file — no registration

Download one of our sample point clouds above, drop it in below, and it runs straight away. Up to 3 sample runs a day. Nothing to fill in.

B · Your own file — with registration

We process your own data free of charge too, in limited numbers, as a demonstration. It needs an upload code — e-mailed to you when you ask for a slot — and a short registration — so we know whose file it is, and where to send the job number and the deletion log. The steps below are this path.

Path B, step by step — in limited numbers we process your own file free of charge, as a demonstration on your own network.

01Ask for a demo slot

Free processing of your own data is limited, so it starts with a short request. The upload code is e-mailed to you straight away.

02Register

Name, company and work e-mail. We need to know whose file it is, and where to send the job number and the deletion log.

03Choose the corridor

±5–20 m from the line (10–40 m wide). Only that band is processed — you see the expected size and area before you start.

04Upload

LAS/LAZ, in a projected coordinate system, in metres. Maximum file size in the free demo: 250 MB. The file travels in small parts, so a dropped connection is not lost work.

05Job number and access code

Both appear on screen and arrive by e-mail. Keep them: this pair opens your analysis later, from any browser.

06We release the run, then processing starts

A person checks the request on our side before it runs — that is what keeps the free demo available for everyone.

07Results, for 10 days

Map layers, 3D point cloud and the decision report. Your uploaded point cloud is deleted, and we send you the log of it.

After that: the same analysis on your whole network, under contract — see what changes.

Drop the sample file here or click to choose it

No upload code yet? You can still try it: download one of our sample files above and drop it here — that runs without registering.

  1. 1
    Request

Tell us about your network and your data with the form. We reply by e-mail.

  2. 2
    Contract draft

We send our general framework contract: pricing, monthly settlement and data handling.

  3. 3
    Contract

Once you accept it, we sign the contract and set up your access.

  4. 4
    Dedicated secure access

You get your own user account on a protected processing server.

  5. 5
    Upload whenever you need it

You upload LAS/LAZ point clouds of your network whenever a survey arrives — no prepaid package, no expiring credits. Before processing, each file is cut to a 20–40 m wide corridor along the line.

    * You only pay for what you actually use. If your work needs a wider corridor than 40 m, we set that in your contract.

  6. 6
    Automated analysis

Processing starts right away and delivers the full analysis: map layers, 3D point cloud, fall-in simulation and decision report. We invoice monthly for what you actually processed.

Why we cut to the corridor
  • Airborne LiDAR covers much more than the power line. Before processing, we cut each point cloud to a 20–40 m wide zone along the network, set to your voltage level and clearance rules.
  • Processing time and data volume follow the corridor, not the whole flight. Even cut at ±30 m, as in this demo, our five samples kept only 16–55% of the area.
  • Every result — clearance zones, trees, fall-in risk — is measured against the line.
What we need
  • Airborne LiDAR of your lines as LAS or LAZ, in a projected coordinate system in metres.
  • 8–10 points per m² or more, so that wires and poles can be detected.
  • Your own network data is welcome but not required — mapped power lines can be used.
Your data
  • Only the points in the corridor zone around the line are processed.
  • Files are used only to produce your analysis; storage and deletion are set out in the contract.
  • This form sends only the details you type in — no files.
